We are so excited to share with you one of the most amazing doll houses that we've ever seen for 18 inch dolls. It was made by Sheila Badillo and her husband for their daughter, Sabrina (and for mom to share too!). Here is what Shelia had to share about the process of putting this together for their daughter...
Last Spring I decided to make something for storage for all of the AG furniture that I had lying around the house. It was planned to be like a wall unit for only display and it was then when I got the idea to make it in the shape of a dollhouse. I'm not good at drawing so I made a simple sketch and showed it to my husband and there is where the true magic happened. He's a designer and a mechanical engineer so he put his thinking cap on and came up with the right measurements for the entire house and for each room.
It took him 3 days of building. And for a person who never in his life built anything I think he did an awesome job. It took me a week of paint, paint and more paint. It still is a work in progress. I still have to make more wall decorations. We made all the mini canvases with scrapbooking punches, acrylic paint & glitter paper. I made the bedding for the bunk beds and the room rugs (It was my first time sewing anything and I think I did fine). I Still need to get the fresh and clean shower set for the bathtub. Sabrina got all Kit's room furniture for Christmas. But little by little we are getting there...

Wow! Thank you so very much Shelia for sharing your beautiful doll house with us! There is so much inspiration to be had here and it's so impressive that this is the first thing that your husband built...what a lucky daughter you have!
Edited to add: This house measures 8 feet wide by 6 feet tall and 22 inches deep.
